POMPANO BEACH, FL – Friday’s crash involving a pedestrian and a Brightline train marks the third train-related wreck that happened in Pompano Beach this week, the Broward County Sheriff’s Office revealed.

Friday’s collision took place along the Northeast 6th Street and North Dixie Highway junction, CBS 12 reported.

The exact circumstances surrounding this collision are unclear.

In Sunday’s incident, a boy, for reasons unclear, stepped onto the train tracks in the area of West Commercial Boulevard and did not move. As a result, the train fatally struck him.

Monday’s fatal train pedestrian crash involved a 42-year-old woman hitting the safety gate arm, prompting a train to also hit her, leading to her death.
